There are two types of cylinder heads.
Common Rail Diesel YD25DDTI Engine 2002 -2015 with 4 ports on the inlet manifold side of the head.
Common Rail Diesel YD25DDTI Engine 2010 -2015 with 8 ports on the inlet manifold side of the head.
The YD25 late 5X0 head with 8 ports on the inlet manifold side fits some D40 Navara’s from 01/2010 to 12/2015 – This is only suited to the 140kw engine from 01/2010 to 12/2015 and is a replacement for the 8 port YD25 Late 5X0 Head.
How do i tell the difference between them if the head is still on the vehicle?
The 4 port YD25 cylinder head has the glow plugs fitted on the exhaust manifold side.
The 8 port YD25 cylinder head has the glow plugs fitted on the inlet manifold side.
